First edition of an imprint that narrates the sea engagement between six Ottoman corsairs under the command of Carapatachi "bravo cofario de Calamacia" [brave corsair from Calamacia], and General Baylio. The battle ended with the defeat of the Ottoman fleet, and the capture of three vessels, which were taken back to Malta.
Rare, no copies can be traced at auction. We have only been able to trace six copies in institutions.
With manuscript foliation in the upper outer corner of the second leaf ("204"). Lacking the upper outer corner of the first leaf, affecting the title and the text, somewhat browned and foxed. USTC 5095327 (6 copies); WorldCat 1327732032 (3 copies); not in Palau.
