Tenth volume of the periodical Variétés Sinologiques, written by the Jesuit Albert Tschepe. The work gives a chronological history of the ancient Chinese Zhou dynasty, with chapters for the successive kings. For each chapter Tchepe gives a small list of sources used. The illustrations show mainly historical figures and the map shows the boundaries of the ancient kingdom.
