Abstract from The geographical journal, vol LXIII, no 3. Description of the famous Al-Ahsa oasis in the north-east of the Arabian Peninsula, in modern day Saudi Arabia. The 9 photograph illustrations depict daily life and architecture of the people that live at the oasis. Historically, Al-Ahsa was the main city in Al-Bahrain province, making up most of its population and providing most of its agricultural output.
