The drawing is signed by Nicolaas Wicart (1748-1815), painter of landscapes and painter of porcelain. He was mainly active in the province of Utrecht and worked at the porcelain factory at Loosdrecht. Several museums have drawings by Wicart in their collections (Frans Hals Museum, British Museum, Victoria & Albert Museum etc.).
With the green collector's stamp of Matthijs de Jongh (1899-1983), Gorinchem, on the back. A few negligible brown spots and the margins slightly frayed and the corners reïnforced, but the drawing itself in very good condition and with wide margins.
