Two works published on occasion of the Exposition Universelle of 1900, the first by Lemasson on the French Polynesian colony and the second by Vignéras on French Somaliland. Both illustrated with reproductions of photographs. The work on the Polynesian colony contains notes on the geography, history and economy of the islands, written by Henry Lemasson, a photographer and postmaster stationed at Papeete, after the instruction of the governor of the colony Gustave Gallet (1850-1926). It's probably another edition of the one published in Papeete.
Some occasional spots, folding map worn and binding slightly damaged. Good copies. Ad. 1: cf. Annales de Géographie vol. 11, 618; Engelstad KRO 1275; ad. 2: Annales de Géographie vol. 10, 724.
