Rare issue of a series of city almanacs for The Hague, containing, apart from the calendar and usual contents of almanacs, extensive information on the institutes, schools, churches, magistrates etc. of the city, as well as important rules and laws, such as clothing regulations for members of the royal court, or how to register a child's birth. The publisher and composer of the almanac, Jacob Belinfante (dates unknown) published these yearly almanacs from 1830 till 1839 as a continuation of the series published by his older brother, the Dutch-Jewish journalist and publisher Mozes Cohen Belinfante (1761-1827), with the title Opregte sGravenhaagsche Stads-Almanac (1823-1827).
With the library stamp of the Munt Collegie on the half title. The spine has been repaired with blue paper, a paper shelf mark label at the foot, the wrappers are somewhat browned and water stained. Internally mostly clean, with occasional foxing, some quires are partly detached. Otherwise in good condition. Ned. Bibliogr. 1801-1832 (1993), p. 1442; not in Vandenhole.
