Beautiful almanac for ladies, here published for the first time, inspired by the great success of the Paris opéra comique of the same name, written by Nicolas Isouard (1775-1818). Consequently, Joconde contains a collection of the most popular songs from the musical, beautifully illustrated with engraved plates mostly of stage characters singing duets. The second part, Petit souvenir, consists of the calendar and blank leaves for each day of the week and each month, for annotations. Grand-Carteret lists only this one volume of the almanac, but he mentions that a Monsieur Weckerlin (possibly the composer Jean-Baptise Weckerlin) possessed a copy that was dated 1821.
With a hole at the front joint. The leaves are slightly foxed, a water stain in the lower margin in the last three quarters of the work. Otherwise in good condition. Grand-Carteret 1742; not in Vandenhole.
