First edition of this rare relation of the earthquake that shook the city of Traina (Sicily), in July 1643; the author narrates with careful attention to detail the events leading and following the disaster -mentioning the natural phenomena prior to actual earthquake, and the destruction caused. Amongst the consequences, the author notes several women with miscarriages, and animal freaks being born in the aftermath.
