First and only edition of this translation into Dutch of the fiercely anti-Socianian work by Johannes Cloppenburch (1592-1652), published in the year he died. The translation is based on his Compendiolum Socinianismi, printed a year before in Franeker. Cloppenburgh extensively discusses the history and rise of Socianism and deals at length with the refutation of its religious doctrines.
Few minor defects. Good copy. Bibliographia Sociniana 4114; Rogge, Bibl. Contra-Remonstrantse geschriften, p. 61; Biogr. Lexicon Ned. Protestantisme II, pp. 127-129; not in Knuttel, Kerkgeschiedenis.
