Fine panorama of Mazatlán, on the Pacific coast of Mexico showing the historical centre and harbour. By the mid-19th century a large group of immigrants had arrived, developing Mazatlán into a thriving commercial seaport, importing equipment for the nearby gold and silver mines. Cf.
