Contemporary full red morocco, spine  richly gilt in 7 compartments  with title lettered in gold, front cover with title in centre ''Eduard Friedrich Poeppig drawings. Reise in Chile, Peru und auf dem Amazonstrome (1827-1832)'' and gilt ruling, gilt inner dentelles, marbled endpapers (RIVIERE & SON); preserved in modern red cloth box.
