Contemporary vellum, ribbed spines with titles in ink, covers with blind stamped central ornament and floral ornaments in corners, red sprinkled edges. With engraved allegorical frontispiece by J.C. Philips (1729), titles printed in red and black, 2 full-page engraved dedication plates with the names of the dedicatees, 57 engraved plates with plans, maps, views and bird's eye views of The Hague and Scheveningen, 11 of which are full-page, 38 double-page and 8 folding. One of those folding plates is an exceptional large bird's eye view on The Hague of 427 x 980 mm., printed on two leaves. There are also 5 smaller engravings with seals in the text.
