With full-page frontispiece consisting of two woodcuts, the larger one below showing Aesop speaking to a woman with a small child, surrounded by a large number of animals, and the smaller one above showing a king on his throne amidst people watching the show, title printed in red and black, and 134 almost half-page woodcuts in text, 14 illustrating Aesop's "Life", and 120 illustrating the fables.
