Rare first and only edition of this collection of miscellaneous poems by Daniël Willink (Amsterdam 1676 - Beverwijk 1722), posthumously published and edited by Willink's cousin, Bernardus de Bosch. Willink was a wine-merchant and member of the Amsterdam poetic society 'Constantia et labore'. He published poetical works on Amsterdam and its environment: Amsterdamsche Tempe of Nieuwe Plantaadje (1722), Amsterdamsche Buitensingel (1738), and Amstellandsche Arcadia (1737).
The present work is dedicated by the editor, Bernardus de Bosch (an Amsterdam poet, 1709-1786) to Nicolaas Cornelis Hasselaar, sheriff of Amsterdam (p. (5-9)), followed by the preface by De Bosch on p. (10-16), laudatory poems by H. Post, G. Klinkhamer, Abr. de Haen and others on p. 17-28), and the contents. The description of the estate 'Groot Heerema' near Franeker is on pp. 1-38; the description is dedicated to its owner, Livius Dirk Andringa. The manor house was pulled down in 1814. Then follow the laudatory and miscellaneous poems (pp. 39-102), wedding poems (pp. 103-68) and funeral poems (pp. 169-98), each with their own engraved part-title. The funeral poems end with the 'Lyk-dichten' on Daniël Willink himself by T. Tamé and E. Fonte Sincero (pp. 191-98). On p. (199) a list with errata.

Fine copy, complete with the often lacking portrait.
