Engraved printer's device on title. (10), 134 pp. First edition of an interesting small work on fruit growing. Each of the nine chapters is devoted to a specific subject, for example soil, planting, pruning, harvesting and viniculture. In the preface the author gives a brief annotated bibliography of the works on which he based his own theories. The 1784 edition appeared under the author's name. Good copy with two old owner's names in manuscript and manuscript notes in ink on both sides of last flyleaf.- (Slightly browned, spine damaged, some stains on front and back covers).
