Two rare classical school books by Ausonius, or Aesge Popma, a celebrated Dutch humanist scholar, living in Frisia, where he died in 1621. He published a number of valued classical school texts and linguistical studies. Vossius later added one of his studies to his Sallust edition, and Winsemius praised his great learning in his historical description of Bolsward. Both works are well produced, and printed in different types, in the first work including Greek types, and both works with extensive comments by the editor.

Good copy.- (Some sl. marginal browing; sl. cut short at the top).
Ad 1: Adams V 290; STC Dutch p. 204 (ed. 1589); not in Machiels ad 2: STC Dutch p. 47; Machiels C 234; not in Adams.
