The first work contains the laws of the town and province of Utrecht, decreed in 1550, including a description of the duties of the officials at court, the procedures, the crimes and penalties. Willem Silvius received a privilege to print this edition in 1563.
The second work is a short treatise for clerks, notaries, writers and merchants on bails and transport of acts, by Ioan Gael (1575-1621), lawyer at Haarlem. Gael states that all financial transactions should be written down in contracts to avoid larger costs.

Good copy.- (Title page of the first work frayed at outer margin, with no loss; some wormholes; second work cut short).
