Waldenburg Christian Gotthilf Hofmann, [1802]. 2 parts in 1 volume. 18mo. Contemporary blind-stamped calf with central clasp. With frontispiece and 4 plates (including 2 folding maps and 1 folding engraved distance table), 2 delicate volvelles, and a woodcut illustrations of a sea compass. [8], 135, [1]; 252 pp.

Interesting guide for travellers. The first parts contains prayers and songs, the second part offers practical information such as tables of arithmetic, money tables, distance tables, a perpetual calander, a short dictionary, etc. Included are a folding world map, a map of Germany and an illustration of a sundial. The work seems to have been rather popular and was reprinted several times from ca. 1737 onwards. In the present edition, the list of Easter sundays runs over the years 1803 to 1864, which makes it likely that it was printed in ca. 1802.

Plates in faint impression, otherwise a very good copy.
