Very entertaining toy curious & useful to all sorts of artificers.      London, for John Bowles and Son, (1750). Sm. 4to. Contemp. calf, spine ribbed in 6 compartments. Engraved title, 102 full-page engraved plates each with 6 monograms, of which last plate with crowns and helmets of the nobility. Good copy of a work with 600 examples of monograms alphabetically arranged. Good copy.- (Preliminary page preceding the plates, titled 'The beauty & usefulness of this work is sufficiently proved, by these engravers signing with their own hands the following advertisements' not present; binding sl. rubbed; front cover half loose; sm. tear in left corner of plate 100).
