Contemporary marbled calf, spine ribbed and richly gil, red mottled edges. With large woodcut printer's device on title, title printed in red and black. (8), 934, (26) pp. First edition of the collected medical works by Franciscus Sylvius, Latin for Frans De Le Boe, or Du Bois (1614-1672). Sylvius was professor in practical medicine at the University of Leyden. A detailed analysis of the contents is found in the "Mémoires" of Paquot I, p. 196 ff. A second edition of Sylvius' works already was published by the Elseviers in the nex year, in 1680. Good copy.- (Portrait of the author lacking).
