X, (4), 167, (15) pp. First edition of a primary schoolbook intended to teach the basic principles of spelling, grammar and punctuation of the Dutch language, composed by a Frisian schoolteacher at Midwolda. After he died the work was published with learned digressions on linguistics which probably made the book less suitable for the common village-schools it was originally intended for. Bolhuis later published his own schoolgrammar for the Dutch educational society "Tot Nut van 't Algemeen". Good copy.
