An unrecorded 17th-century Middelburg reprint of a proclamation on salt of 1588

Wtgegeven den twintighsten dach van April, XVc. achtentachtig.   Middelburg, the widow and heirs of Symon Moulert, n.d. (1637?). Small 4to. Loose as issued (two loose double-leaves). Large woodcut coat of arms of Zeeland on title-page, woodcut initial. (8) pp. Extremely rare re-edition of a proclamation on the impost on salt, originally issued by the States General on the 20th of April, 1588. We could not trace another copy with this imprint. NCC and Typographia Batava only list copies of the original edition, printed in Delft by Aelbrecht Hendricksz., 1588. According to Nagtglas, the earliest known work issued by the widow and heirs of Simon Moulert was printed in 1623. On the 23rd of September 1637, 2 variants (both 8 pp.) of our ordinance were published in Middelburg by Johan Misson (paginated 177-184) and by Leenderd and Johan Bakker, on behalf of the States of Zeeland. Our copy was almost certainly issued simultaneously. Good copy.- (Vague waterstain in lower blank margin).
