Collection of works  by the French author baroness Anne Louise Germaine Stael-Holstein (1766-1817), famous for her Salon and known for her political influence. It includes a treatise on suicide, which was first published in 1813, followed by a pamphlet on the execution of Marie Antoinette in 1793 (pp.101-141). At the end eulogical reflections on the writings of Jean Jacques Rousseau (pp. 143-270) (first edition 1788).
