First (and only) Dutch edition by Frederic Shoberls (1775-1853) of the narrative of the most remarkable events which occured in and near Leipzig, immediately before, during and subsequent to, the sanguinary series of engagements between the allied armies and the French, from the 14th to the 19th October, 1813. It was first published in London 1814 and was so popular the it had 10 editions in the same year.
Our copy comes from the library of the German historian Friedrich Max Kircheisen (1877-1933) who was also the author of many books concerning Napoleon.
Very good copy of a rare book with the bookplate of F.M. Kircheisen.
