Second, much enlarged and first illustrated edition of a detailed description of the city of Haarlem by the recotor of the Latin School at Haarlem, Theodorus Schrevelius (1572-1649). The book is richly illustrated by various artists, with views of the city, views of the ruins of the castles outside the city, plans of the sieges and historical plates, and some fine portraits. Of special beauty are the 10 folding engraved views of Haarlem by Romeyn de Hooghe.
