Copenhagen, printed by Jens Sostrup Schultz for the author, 1827. Modern black cloth with gilt title on spine, original printed front wrapper preserved. Folding letterpress table at the end, several letterpress tables in text. (8), 136 pp.

The first and only published part of a series planned by the author, to make the findings of his award winning work Skildring af Veirligets Tilstand I Danmark (1826, 567 pp.) available for a wider audience. He planned the series because the original work, although primarily concerning Denmark, is also of importance for climatology of other countries in Northern Europe. The present volume comprises two parts: (1). Ueber die Windverhältnisse des nördlichen Europas, besonders Dänemarks (p.1-111), meticulously working out and comparing data on the winds of the area. (2). Ueber den täglichen Gang des Thermometers. comprising a similar investigation of the temperatures measured in the area.
Good copy, with armorial bookplate of E.F. Nolte and the bookplate of the Royal Meteorological Society.- (Some occ. foxing on first resp. last pages).
