Very rare funeral oration on the occasion of the death of the teacher and Mennonite preacher Hans de Ries (b. 1553) on 14th September 1638, written by Denys vander Scheure (fl. 1638-1644).
Good copy, with contemporary ownership's entries on inside front and backcover in ink, ''Johann Heinrich Armacher.. den 1738 zu Hirscheiffen??'', ''Aart den Hoet''.- (Small hole in frontcover of envelope; right corner top of title sl. damaged; edges sl. frayed).
