Very rare original and only edition of this work on the history of the mission in Morocco by the Franciscans, by Francisco de Jesus Maria de San Juan del Puerto (fl. ca. 1700-1725). The work is dedicated to Luis Manuel, bishop of Palestrine, archbishop of Toledo, 'Primado' of Spain, Ambassador in Rome to Pope Innocentius XI, etc., and includes a description of Morocco and the north coast of Africa, treating also the religion, administration, customs, history, etc. of the region. A great part is devoted to the martyrdom of the many Franciscan missionaries, put to death by the Muslim inhabitants.
