[France, ca. 1923]. Oblong 4to (28 x 30 cm). Contemporary black cloth, with gilt title, decoration and gilt initials S.A. on front cover. With 609 beautifully coloured and patterned fabric swatches (cottonl?).

Striking sample book of beautifully patterned and often brightly coloured fabric swatches. The book features 58 designs for foulards of which several samples are given, most designs with one or two large swatches followed by several smaller ones in different colours. On the first page an explanatory typescript note is pasted in. The book is a stunning example of textile design in the Art-Deco period.

One large swatch missing; top and bottom of spine damaged. In very good condition.
