Three charming sets of model plates in illustrated envelopes, meant to accompany the textbook Teekenen op katholieke lagere scholen, also published in 1931, but not present here. The work was designed for the drawing lessons for the first to the third grade of Dutch Roman Catholic primary schools by the teacher and artist Johannes Martinus Rammers (1893-1980), who was a member and general secretary of the society of arts Arte et Industriae in The Hague.
The illustrations on the plates, in strong and simple design, and in fine bright colours, for the first two grades show objects in and around the village, like a table, a lamp, a stove, a cradle, a doghouse, a farm, etc., and for the third grade they show things in and around the city, like a lamp-post, a garbage can, cross-roads, pedestrian lights, tram-signs, etc. The models, in both design and colours, are typical for the "Art-Deco" period. The text on the envelopes is respectively printed in red, green and sepia. Size of the plates is 15 x 11 cm.

Fine set.- (Envelopes sl. used, with small library labels  and stamps).
