First edition of a model book for the right expressions to use in speaking as well as in writing, with hundreds of examples of the correct sentences, arranged alphabetically. Preceded by some 45 pages with proverbs, sayings, and short verses on all sorts of knowledgeable subjects, with catchwords in the margin, and ending with 4 pages with proverbs and sayings in Latin and French. Like Salomo's proverbs were thought most educational for the people, the present book of proverbs and wise sayings, based on classical and modern literary authors, no doubt was composed for the education of the well-to-do.
