First edition of the first extensive history of the duchy of Gelre in the Netherlands, beautifully illustrated with maps and plans drawn by J. van Geelkerken, etc. The work was later translated and enlarged by Van Slichtenhorst, who used also the same maps and plans, slightly reduced. In the preliminaries of the present work a large number of laudatory poems are found, including one by Anna Maria Schurman.
