Midtsgaders den bloedigen ende tyrannigen assault ende stormen, geschiet den XXen Septembris daer nae int selve jaer, met omtrent seven duysent soldaten te voet, ende sesse vanen ruyteren des Eertz Hertoghen volck, onder t' beleyt van Mons Detereille, door het aen dienen ende mede-geven van Mons de Labijsé, gouverneur tot Hulst in Vlaenderen, ende Mons de Dette, laetst gouverneur geweest (voor den Eertz Hertoch) op t' casteel van Wouwe, ende de uutcoemste en succes van dien. Ghevisiteert ende gecorrigeert by den Heere Ridder Jonch. Paulus Bax gouverneur deser stadt Bergen op den Zoom, ende den capiteynen des garnisoens ende der Borgerie der voorsz. stadts.

Important pamphlet relating to historical events in Bergen op Zoom which occured in 1605. In that year, the troops of the Archduke Albert of the Southern Netherlands executed three surprise attacks on the city: on March 18, August 22 and September 19 (the last two under the command of Du Terrail), all without result. The nightly attack on the stronghold in June 1606 had no success either. On the instigation of Prince Maurits reinforcements on the stronghold were installed from that year on.
