With 6 full-page engraved plates, all beautifully coloured by hand. 68, (4) pp. Nicely illustrated and well produced little book of poems for children by the Dutch poet Dirk Onderwater (1768-1818). A fine strong quality of paper was used and the plates were coloured with care. The verses are as usual for the period rather moralistic, and the plates show a little boy putting everything ready for his dad when coming home, a father teaching arithmetics to his son, two children shaking hands after a fight, etc. Fine copy.- (Spine sl. dam.).
