(4), 394 pp. Rare auction catalogue for the famous and extensive art collection of Nicolaas Nieuhoff (-1777) which was auctioned 14 April 1777. The catalogue is divided in four parts respectively containing 254 lots with paintings (arranged alphabetically), 1145 lots with drawings, 362 lots with prints and 26 lots with sculptures and curiosities. The paintings, drawings and prints are mainly from Dutch masters from the 17th century, such as Rembrandt, Vermeer, Van de Velde and Ruysdaal. The catalogue was also published in French and German. Good copy.
