Original edition of this outline of the history of the world written by Jacob-Nicolas Moreau, the librarian of 'La Daupine', the later queen Marie Antoinette. The text is preceded by a general essay on the importance of the study of the past. Planned as a complete course for the education of Marie Antoinette, this first volume on history is the only part that was published.
