Second Dutch edition of this collection of historical orations on the lives of the Dutch Stadholders, helt by students from the Leiden University in the Bartholomaeus Church at Schoonhoven in September till November 1661, collected and edited by Arnoldus Montanus (ca. 1625-1683).

After the dedication to Stadholder William III (1650-1702) and preface by Montanus, dated Schoonhoven, 7 November 1661, the orations follow helt by:
(1) Johannes van Velden from Jaarsveld: "Heröes Nassovii, sive oratio complectens breviter comitum vitas ..." (p. 1-40, with the portraits of Adolph of Nassau, Henricus Comes Nassauius, and Renatus Nassauius de Chalon (René de Chalon).
(2) Wolphardus vander Stael from Schoonhoven: "Heröes Auriaci sive oratio complectens breviter Principum Auriacorum Joannis. ac Philiberti vitam" (p. 41-64).
(3) Bartholomaeus Botterus, from Schoonhoven: "Guilielmus Auriacus sive oratio compendiose vitam illustrimi Principis Auriaci complectens" (p. 1-24, with the portrait of Princeps Auriacus, Wilhelmus Nassauius Princeps Auriacus (William I, Prince of Orange (1533-1584).
(4) Johannus Snellius from Werkendam: "Mauritius sive oratio compendiose vitam Illustrissimi Principis Auriaci cemplectens" (p. 25-48, with the portrait of  Mauritius Nassauius Orangii Princeps (Prince Maurits, prince of Orange ( 1567-1625)
(5) Adriaan van Velde from Jaarsveld, "Fredericus Henricus sive oratio compendiose vitam Illustrissimi Principis Auriaci cemplectens" (p. 49-76, with the portrait of Fredericus Henricus a Nassau (Frederik Hendrik of Nassau (1584-1647), stadholder).
(6) Abraham van Cleef from Schiedam: "Guilielmus secundus sive oratio compendiose Celsissimi illius Principis Auriaci vitam cemplectens" (p. 77-96, with the portrait of Wilhemus II a Nassau (William II (1626-1650).
(7) Petrus Coopman from Schoonhoven: "Guilielmus terius sive oratio complectens vitam celsissimi illius Principis Auriaci" (p. 97-120, with the portrait of Wilhelmus III a Nassau (William III, Prince of Orange (1650-1702), who became stadholder in 1672 and king of England in 1687).
The book is completed with a "Stemma comitum Nassoviorum" (Genealogical tree; p. (1-10)) and an index of authors consulted (p. (11), verso blank).

The first edition of this collection appeared in Schoonhoven, Samuel Knudde, 1662; a translation in Dutch in Amsterdam in 1664.
Arnoldus Montanus was a minister and rector of the Latin School at Schoonhoven, and he wrote a considerable number of learned historical works, next to religious books, several on the Dutch Stadholders, on Dutch sea-captains, etc., as well as some famous travel books.
