First and only French edition of this 'splendid ceremonies': the edition of various accounts of royal funerals:

  • Don Ferdinand on 14 March 1515 as described by R. Dupuys (pp. 6-56)
  • Charles V, celebrated in Brussels in 1558 as described by Don Prudentio de Sadoval (pp. 57-96)
  • Rudolph II celebrated in Brussels 12 March 1612 from the memories of Sibrecht (pp. 97-103)
  • Alexander Farnèse, Brussels 16 December 1592 (pp. 113-114)
  • Archduke Ernest, Brussels 15-16 March 1600 (pp. 115-117)
  • Johanna of Spain, Brussels, 16 September 1555
  • Phillip II, Brussels 30-31 December 1598 and 13 September in the Escorial (pp. 128-134)

  • and, the main part:
  • Albert Archduke of Austria (pp. 135-278)

  • The work is dedicated to Aubert Lemire, dated 18 June 1622 and is composed by Adrian de Meerbeeck (1563-after 1627). In the same year the printer Ferdinand Hoy-maeker also published an edition in Dutch (Landwehr 72).

    Good copy with ownership's entry on the title: 'Ex bibliotheca Corn. Boullvens(?)'.- (Some browning; folded plate repaired with hole in one fold).
