Senus, hand-coloured and 20 engraved plates of Dutch costumes by L. Portman after J. Kuyper, all hand-coloured, interleaved with rice-paper with numbers and titles of the plates and 2 pp. of contents.

First edition of the so-called "Small Maaskamp", with the plates after the already famous quarto-edition of 1805-1807, signed by the same artists and all bearing the publisher's name and address. The plates show costumes from North-Holland, Friesland, Gelderland, the island of Schokland and  Marken, Volendam, Scheveningen, The Hague, Katwijk, Zeeland, and Brabant, all in a very fine contemporary colouring.
