The book contains 22 lessons, each illustrated by a plate, with little lists of words in French and Dutch, followed by reading exercises on simple subjects from daily life, like studying, a morning visit, the gardener, the merchant, the drawing room, the Zoo, the human body, etc. The book was composed by the same author who published the beautiful pictorial Dutch A B and Number books: "Alphabetisch Letterkransje" and "Alphabetish Nommerkranje". Good copy of a fine illustrated primer.- (Binding rubbed; loosening in spine; sl. thumbed).
