MÜLLER, Johan Frederik Lodewijk.Dat Zij U Behagen.     Tweede Druk. Amst., Johannes Guykens, (ca. 1840). Sm.4to. Orig. engraved yellow boards, with on backcover a charming view into a classroom. With 8 full-page engraved plates, all finely coloured by hand. 22 pp. Beautiful illustrated children's book of verse by the author of the famous primers: "Alphabetisch Letter-Kransje", and "Alphabethisch "Nommer-Kransje". The publisher's address on front cover reads: Amsterdam, D.H. Fikkert. Johan Frederik Lodewijk Müller's books stand out as well produced, beautifully illustrated, and handcoloured with great care, and although even at the time rather expensive they were very popular and much used, so today they are hard to find. Fine copy.- (Small library-stamp on front cover and title).
