(18), 284, (2) pp. Salvator Ludwig (1847-1915), son of Leopold III, grandduke of Tuscany, and Maria Antonietta of Sicily, is nowadays known for his explorations all over the world. He was especially interested in islands and coastlines, and undertook a world circumnavigation in 1881. This book is a record of his stay in Australia and Tasmania. It contains many elaborate descriptions and detailed illustrations of the nature and culture of this part of the world. Good copy.
