Very rare but rather used and incomplete copy, lacking at least two of the plates, replaced by repetitions from another copy, of a beautiful aquatint travel book on the newly constructed road over the Simplon. The fine aquatint plates show views of Geneva, Sion, Brieg Simplon, Gondo, Crevola, the Lago Maggiore, Arona, Como, Milan, and several beautiful views of the Alps. At the end the publisher's catalogue, of 8 pp., bound with.
