On the political position of the city of Lille (Rijssel) ca. 1760

[LILLE].

No place, no printer, 1763. 8vo Marbled wrappers. 141, (2) pp.

Extremely rare first and only edition of this anonymous pamphlet on the discussions among the three estates of the 'States' of the provinces Austrian Flandres and French Flandres (the clergy, nobility and 'third estate'), regarding the position of the States of Lille (Rijssel), now in France, just over the French-Belgian border. The author is referring to other pamphlets, published in the previous years: the 'Memoire' Exposition, signed by 'Le Saffre', the 'Réponse au Mémoire' Exposition pour le Clergé & la Noblesse, signed by 'De la Monnoie, Avocat' (from 7 January 1760), the Requete d'Intervention des seigneurs de Commines, de Cisoin & de Wavrin, and others.
Good copy with the book plate of the "Collection Querré-Reybourbon, Lille" (= Louis Querré-Reybourbon (1824-190x), 'Officier de l'instruction publique, secrétaire gén. de la Soc. de géographie de Lille').- (Front hinge broken)
Only one copy could be traced (The Hague, Royal Library).
