Rare first edition of the Latin/Dutch dictionary by Johann Hermann Knoop (1700-1769) specifying in pharmaceutical, botanical and medical words. Knoop held the position of curator of the botanical gardens of Princess Maria Louisa in Leeuwarden as well as being a mathematics professor there. Knoop was most renowned for his books on pomology.
