The third part, treating the medicinal plants, virtually present a popular pharmacopeia. The author, who was head gardener at the estate Marienburg near Leeuwarden, later reworked the first part, on fruit-trees, shrubs, and kitchen-gardens, into the famous coloured plates book "Pomologia, Fructologia", published in 4 volumes in the 1770s.
