Beijerinck, 1846. 2 volumes. 8vo. Contemporary speckled boards with printed title label pasted on spine. With 6 folding black and white lithographed maps and 10 full-page lithographed plates (9 tinted and 1 black and white, including the 2 tinted frontispieces). XVI, 373, [1 blank, 1, 1 blank]; X, 395, [1 blank] pp. First and only Dutch edition of this work on the expedition to Borneo of H.M.S. Dido for the suppression of piracy, with extracts from the journal of James Brooke (1803-1868), by the British admiral of the Fleet Sir Henry Keppel (1809-1904). The views among other things depict the H.M.S. A good set of this interesting account of Borneo.
