Ad 1: First edition of this love poem on 'the eyes of Rosalin' by Daniël Jonctys (1609/10-1654), a physician, first at Dordrecht and after difficulties with the Dordrecht church council, at Rotterdam where he became a celebrated physician and also magistrate.
The present poem is his most famous poetical. It is an adaptation of the Latin poem Ocelli by Jean Lernout (Janus Lernitius) from Brughes. An edition in 12mo was published in the same year in Amsterdam with Joost Broersz.; a thrid edition appeared in 1713 in Amsterdam in 8vo.
After the title and preface the book starts with a treatise on the question what is most powerful to arouse love ('Geschil, wat de meeste kracht heeft, om liefde te verwekken'; ff. 3-38r). The poem itself is on ff. 38v-80v.

Ad 2: First and only edition of the love poem by Gerard Wyten who lived in the middle of the 17th century at Zoetermeer. He was a friend of the famous poet Jacob Cats and he made verses in Cats' manner. In the same year 1650 he also published two other works, with the same publisher: Den lof van de herderinne Roselijne, haer toegeschreven van den herder Thiter, and: Het houwelijck van herderinne Roselijne en den herder Thiter, gegrond op Gods Eere, ende de bevorderinge van haerder beyder Salichheyt.

Ad 3: First edition of this stage play in verses by the poet/publisher Jan Jacobsz. Schipper (1616-1669), one of the publishers of the works of Cats. He also wrote many plays for the Amsterdam Theatre. A second edition was publ;ished in Amsterdam in 1741.
Good copies with circular bookplate with initials BL (=Bob Luza) on inside front cover and ms. notes on first fly leaf. - (Some marginal damp stains in the second work).
