Offprint of this article written by Nicolas Joly, president of the 'Académie Royale des Sciences, Inscriptions et Belles-Lettres de Toulouse', as an eulogy to the work and life of Aloys Senefelder (1771-1734), the inventor of lithography. The article had been published in the Mémoires de
l' Académie royale des sciences de Toulouse, and was re-issued as a brochure published for the benefit of the grand-children of Senefelder. The last two pages contain "Note sur les effets des inhalations éthérées" an extract of a letter written by Joly to M. Flourens, "Secrétaire perpétuel de l'Académie des Sciences de Paris".

Good copy with ms. dedication to "Monsieur le Capitaine Bosquet, hommage de l'auteur "N.J.".
