One of the 1592-issues of the first edition of the important annual reports over 1589-1590 of the Jesuit missions in Japan and China, written to the General of the Jesuits in Rome, providing valuable information on the Jesuit missions in these regions as well as on the daily life, customs and political situation.
Most copies of these letters have the imprint Rome, Luigi Zannetti, 1591, but the fact that our issue has exactly the same content and the same errors in the pagination (112-114 in stead of 212-214), makes clear that the text belongs to this first edition.

The very interesting and important contents of this edition is as follows:
- pp. 3-159: Lettera annale di Giapone ..., dated: Canzusa à 24. Febraro 1589.
- pp. 159-68: Alrti avvisi delle medesime parti del Giapone estratti da una lettera del P. Luigi Frois al P.V. Provinciale, data a 22. di Luglio 1589.
- pp. 168-70: Di un altera del P. Francesco Rerez intorno alla Christianistà della città di Arie.
- pp. 170-81: Del medesimo P. Francesco Perez intorno à quello che avvenne in Amangucci.
- pp. 181-7: Copia d'una del P. Egidio della Matta ... dal medesimo Regno del Giapone, dated 25 July 1590.
- pp. 187-99: Avisi della  Cina cavati di una del P. Antonio  Dalmeida, dated Città di Sciauchino, 8 September 1588, written to P. Duarte di Sande at Macao.
- pp. 199-200: Di una del P. Provinciale dell'India al R.P. Generale, dated 22 November 1589.
- pp. 200-14: Copia d'una del P.Duarte di Sande, dated Macao 28 September 1589.
